Prism Stereoscope ‘Stéréoscope redresseur’

The Stéréo­scope redresseur makes it pos­si­ble to cor­rect­ly view stere­oviews that have not been trans­posed. The view­er achieves this by means of two types of prism lens­es. This com­bi­na­tion pro­duces a lat­er­al cor­rec­tion (left–right rever­sal) of the images. It per­forms the same func­tion as swap­ping

The Loth­i­an Stere­o­scope was made in Scot­land. The lens­es are mount­ed on arms that can be moved apart and togeth­er to allow for inter-ocu­lar adjust­ment. Focus is achieved by slid­ing the stere­oview hold­er, sim­i­lar to the Holmes–Bates stere­o­scope. After remov­ing the slid­ing tubes and stere­oview

The Plocq firm man­u­fac­tured a range of Planox brand­ed hand-held stere­o­scopes pri­mar­i­ly intend­ed for glass stere­oviews. The ear­ly basic mod­el was lat­er fol­lowed by a ver­sion that is almost iden­ti­cal to Mattey’s Stéréo­scope Stan­dard. This sug­gests that some form of col­lab­o­ra­tion may have exist­ed between

The Alter­nascope is a mul­ti-view stere­o­scope. It’s a vari­ant of the Edu­ca stere­o­scope, designed for edu­ca­tion­al use and man­u­fac­tured by Mat­tey.
