VSC Meeting, June 2023
Sunday, June 4th at 2:00 pm EDT / 8:00 pm CEST
We are very sorry that this month’s announcement is terribly late! We still hope that many of you are able to join us TOMORROW.
First, we have George Themelis in our Photographer Spotlight, who will take us on a journey through Greece. After that, we will travel around the globe to look at some treasures of our community members during a Show & Tell. We will finish with an In-Depth Socializing.
We hope to see you tomorrow!
Photographer Spotlight
Meteora (Greece) in 3D
George Themelis
Meteora is a place in central Greece known for its rock formations and monasteries build in them. In this presentation I will talk about the history of Meteora and what to expect to see if you visit today. What camera equipment should you bring and what kinds of 3D pictures should you expect to take? My presentation is illustrated with 3D pictures that I took during my two visits in Meteora in 2016 and 2022.
Community
Show & Tell
featuring you!
During our Show & Tell, everyone can show a personal 3D item. This can be a treasure of your collection, a stereo photo, or anything 3D related. We can’t wait to see you and your cool stuff! You don’t need to tell us in advance if or what you want to show, just come along!
Community
In-Depth Socializing
featuring you!
The advantage of a virtual community is that we can gather online, no matter where we’re from. But we don’t have the chance to socialize in person. That’s why we have a section called „In-Depth Socializing“ to get to know each other a bit better.
Anybody who feels up to it is invited to introduce themselves: When and how did you encounter stereoscopy? What are you most interested in? Taking photos, collecting or discovering new 3D trends? But also: What do you do besides stereoscopy? Who is the person behind the stereo camera?
We’ll prepare a few easy ice breakers to start with and are looking forward to your stories.
