VSC Meeting, February 2025

It’s been quite a while since our last meet­ing, and we are look­ing for­ward to see­ing you in our first meet­ing of 2025 this Sun­day!
One of our newest mem­bers, Quinn Kina­ta will talk about his tran­si­tion from astro- to stereopho­tog­ra­phy, his hyper­stereo rig and his edit­ing work­flow.
After­wards we will have a Show and Tell or Ask ses­sion. This is the per­fect oppor­tu­ni­ty to show new equip­ment you’ve obtained over the Christ­mas break, new stereopho­tos and any­thing else you want to share with the com­mu­ni­ty. It’s a great way to recon­nect and get inspired by each oth­er!

Miscellaneous Hyperstereo Adventures

Quinn Kina­ta

The top­ic of this talk will be about my jour­ney from astro to stereopho­tog­ra­phy, the cre­ation and con­trol of a hyper­stereo rig, and a naive approach to edit­ing and com­pil­ing ter­abytes of pho­tos into time­lapse videos. Going for­ward I hope to opti­mize and auto­mate my pro­cess­ing work­flow such that it is done in real time with­out interruption.
