And don’t miss the chance to get to know your fellow community members during our In-Depth Socializing section. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started in stereoscopic photography, this event promises to be fun and informative. See you there!
If you can’t make it on Sunday, we want you to know that there’s a new stereo photo challenge for May. The topic is: LIFE IN COLOUR!
The Polaroid 3D Artwork and the Plexiglass “Wheatstone” viewers.
D. Carlton Bright
With the introduction of the Polaroid SX-70 Camera, new creative frontiers were accessible. My talk goes into the studio’s initial use of this unique camera before moving on to the stereoscopic artwork produced over a three-year period in the 1980’s. Also, it will feature a number of “Wheatstone” Plexiglass viewers that I made for these special stereoscopic Polaroid images.
“Pint Size Chat” – Creating Characters With Depth
Carl and Harry thought they understood the world outside. But now it’s evolving faster than they are. Their local London pub offers them sanctuary, a pint, and a place to share their confusion. Welcome to “Pint Size Chat”.
Peter Spence, founder of Putty Studios, will give us an in-depth introduction to the creative and technical process behind his comedy series, combining animation, motion capture, and digital puppetry, all delivered in stereoscopic 3D.
The advantage of a virtual community is that we can gather online, no matter where we’re from. But we don’t have the chance to socialize in person. That’s why we have a section called „In-Depth Socializing“ to get to know each other a bit better. Each time, we interview one or two of our community members.
At the meeting time, go to meet.vsc3d.com to join. Please use a nickname corresponding with your subscription so that we can identify you in the waiting room. When you are about to check in, we would like to invite you to set your marker on our virtual meeting map. It’s available on map.vsc3d.com.
