VSC Audience: About 20 — 25 people from around the world (mostly U.S. & Europe). Level of 3D expertise ranges from new beginners to experienced stereo enthusiasts. Many are on Instagram in the 3D community.

VSC Vibe: We like to keep things light, fun, welcoming, and informative while still having an organized & professional meeting.

Platform: Zoom

Promotion: We announce upcoming presentations on our website, in our email newsletter, on Instagram, and on Facebook.

Recording: We record talks and post them on our YouTube channel.

Practice: We do a quick practice with all presenters 2 hours before the start of the meeting to make sure audio and screen-sharing are working. However, this is just a quick 5‑minute practice with each presenter. We recommend you practice and time your presentation in full before the meeting date. And if you’re especially worried or concerned about presenting or have special connection or presentation needs, let us know early on so we can schedule a separate practice with you — we are happy to do this for you!

Presentation Categories

Gallery / Stereo Photographer Spotlight

Share & discuss a selection of 10 — 25 of your stereo photos. The photos can be:

  • a particular subject or theme
  • a particular shooting style or technique
  • your favorites or most popular
  • any combination of the above!

The number of photos you choose depends on how much time you plan to spend discussing each one. You might choose to show only a few and talk in-depth about the style, technique, and challenges for each. Or you might choose to share more photos and only briefly highlight what inspired the photo or why you like it. If you have time, feel free to share how you got started in stereo photography, new things you’re trying, etc.

3‑Step Presentation Process

We’re here to help you give your best presentation! Someone from our team will be communicating with you in the weeks leading up to the presentation and will be available for any questions you have as you prepare. In general, the process is pretty simple:

STEP 1: As soon as you’re confirmed for a date

  • Begin working on your presentation — have fun!
  • Consider what format you’ll use to present during the meeting (slides, a software application, etc)
  • Consider what device you’ll use to present during the meeting — you’ll need to have a working camera and microphone
  • If you will have special connection or presentation needs, please let us know ASAP so we can work out details early.
  • Once you’ve decided on a device and presentation format, please do not change it at the last minute (for example, right before the meeting or during the meeting) without letting us know as this tends to cause delays in the meeting as we figure things out “live”.
  • If you have reason to believe you will have connection problems, please send a copy of your content (your presentation or a zip file of your photos) to vsc@stereosite.com before the meeting so we can take over screen-sharing if you experience problems.

STEP 2: Two weeks before your presentation

Send the following to vsc@stereosite.com:

  • first & last name to use in our announcement
  • title of your talk
  • short description (60–80 words)
  • a 2D photo of yourself
  • a photo representing your talk (can be 2D or 3D anaglyph or parallel)

Examples of previous talk titles & descriptions: June 2021 Announcement

STEP 3: Day of the presentation

  • Go to vsc.stereosite.com 2 HOURS BEFORE THE MEETING STARTS to practice with the other presenters.
  • Relax — it’s going to be great!

[OPTIONAL] STEP 4: After your presentation

It’s not required, but we’d love to feature you on stereosite.com either in our gallery or article section.

  • For stereo photographers: select 6 photos related to your talk and send to pascal@stereosite.com. You can also send in all the photos of your talk and let us choose. Please write a short introduction to your gallery.
  • For other presenters: write a short article related to your talk (this could be done by simply putting your presentation script in article-form) and send it to pascal@stereosite.com. If you’re not a native English-speaker, we can have someone proofread and optimize your text. Please send all the pictures as properly named, separate files and indicate in your text where the pictures should appear.
  • In both cases: include a short bio of you together with your city, state and country. A photo is not required.
