4 YEARS — Restless New York City

Anaglyph glasses needed!

As the world around us got increasingly changed politically, New York City streets have provided a unique stage for both the social unrest and the epidemic. Photos depict four years of political turmoil, taken between November 2016 and November 2020.

Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, I have called myself a New Yorker for over three decades. As a big fan of turn of the century large format stereograms, I started shooting stereo and making anaglyphs about 20 years ago, and I just can’t seem to stop. Currently, I use a pair of Sony RX1 cameras on a simple slide-mount, using finger sync. I shoot wherever I happen to be, and I happen to be on the streets of New York for most part.
