Aaron Mar­tinet found­ed a print­ing and pub­lish­ing house in 1796. His daugh­ter mar­ried Her­menégilde Haute­coeur, who con­tin­ued the busi­ness after Marinet’s retire­ment. Hermenégilde’s sons, Eugène Haute­coeur and Alfred Haute­coeur, man­aged the com­pa­ny from 1843 to 1867, after which the busi­ness was divided.
Alfred Haute­coeur con­tin­ued the pub­lish­ing house under the name A. Haute­coeur, Anci­enne Mai­son Mar­tinet. The com­pa­ny pub­lished stere­oviews and dis­trib­uted stere­o­scopes, pri­mar­i­ly grapho­scopes. These view­ers some­times car­ry a name­plate or bear the ini­tials A. H.
