Tray-Stereoscope ‘Stéréodrome Métallique’ / ‘La Tulipe’
The Stéréodrome Métallique belongs to the last generation of tray-based stereoscopes introduced at the end of the 1920s. The stereoscope is constructed entirely from metal and has a more modern appearance compared with the more common tray-based viewers. To achieve the slim design of the base, the Stéréodrome’s mechanism was modified so that only one finger (instead of the original two) now lifts the slide.
